The Mueller report book Washington post – Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Trump-Russia investigation will come out on Thursday, with redactions by the US Department of Justice and Attorney General Bill Barr.

  1. The Mueller Report: The Final Report of the Special Counsel into Donald Trump, Russia, and Collusion by Robert S. Mueller III, Special Counsel’s Office U.S. Department of Justice, et al. | Apr 29, 2019
  2. The Mueller Report by The Washington Post  | Apr 23, 2019
  3. The Mueller Report: Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election by Robert S. Mueller and Special Counsel’s Office Dept of Justice | Apr 29, 2019

But what in the world will it look like — and what will it say?

The most consequential topic is what Mueller has found out about President Donald Trump. A leaked list of questions Mueller’s team wanted to ask Trump makes clear that they were deeply interested in what the president knew about Russian interference with the election, and in his efforts to obstruct the investigation.

Mueller’s report could be a damning, prosecutorial document asserting the president committed crimes, in the style of his indictments — effectively an impeachment referral. Alternatively, the report could be aimed more at “telling the story” of what he found, issuing conclusions about several incidents and topics — some of which could well exonerate the president. Or it could be a sparsely detailed, bare-bones “report” tersely stating that some people weren’t charged because of insufficient evidence.

There’s so much uncertainty because there’s no real direct precedent for what Mueller’s doing, and he’s said practically nothing on the record about what’s being planned. When I asked Mueller’s spokesperson Peter Carr earlier this year, he responded, “All I can point you to is the regulations that govern our office.”

The Mueller Report: The Final Report of the Special Counsel into Donald Trump, Russia, and Collusion

The Mueller report book Washington post

There has never been a more important political investigation than Robert S. Mueller III’s into President Donald Trump’s possible collusion with Russia. His momentous findings can be found here, complete with:

  • The 300+ pages of the historic report, as released by the Justice Department
  • An introduction by constitutional scholar, eminent civil libertarian, and New York Times bestselling author Alan Dershowitz.
  • The relevant portions of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations, the 1999 provisions written by former acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal, which establish and regulate the powers of the special counsel.
  • Rod Rosenstein’s 2016 order appointing Robert Mueller III as special counsel and outlining the scope of his investigation.
  • Attorney General William Barr’s four-page summary of the report, as sent to Congress.
  • Barr’s explanation of the four reasons for redacting the report, and a key for identifying them in the color-coded report

The wait is over. Robert Mueller, a lifelong Republican, concluded his investigation and presented his findings to Attorney General William Barr. Barr told Congress that Mueller found no evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia, and did not reach a conclusion on the obstruction of justice, nor that the president committed a crime or exonerated him. But Mueller’s report had more than 300 pages and Barr’s summary had only four pages, which raised questions about the conclusions of a historical investigation.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller III’s probe into Russian influence on the 2016 election of Donald Trump—including links between the campaign and Russian interests, obstruction of justice by President Trump, and any other matters that may have arisen in the course of the investigation—has been the focal point of American politics since its inception in May 2017.

Democrats in the US House of Representatives hoped to use the report to begin impeachment proceedings, with the support of those critical of the president. Media tracked Mueller’s every move, and the investigation was subject to constant speculation by political pundits everywhere. It resulted in the indictments of Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and many others. President Trump and his supporters affirmed that the investigation was a “witch hunt” and the product of a plot by the political establishment—the “deep state”—to delegitimize his presidency.

Mueller’s findings—at least according to Barr—allowed the latter to claim victory. But now, thanks to a subpoena from House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler for the full report, a resolution from the House of Representatives to release the full report to the public (though blocked in the Senate by Mitch McConnell), and popular demand, it’s time for public to judge if that is true.

The Mueller investigation will join Watergate, and the Mueller Report will join the 9/11 Commission Report, the Warren Report, and the Starr Report, as one of the most important in history. The Mueller Report is required reading for everyone with interest in American politics, for every 2016 and 2020 voter, and every American. It’s now available here as an affordable paperback, featuring an introduction from eminent civil libertarian, Harvard Law Professor Emeritus, and New York Times bestselling author Alan Dershowitz, who provides a constitutional, civil law-based commentary sorely needed in today’s media landscape.

Two days after receiving the report in late March, Barr sent a four-page summary to Congress and concluded that the Trump campaign didn’t conspire with Russia on the interference and that Trump didn’t obstruct justice.

On Thursday, the Justice Department livestreamed a press conference before the report’s release in which Barr reiterated that no conspiracy was found between the Russians trying to undermine the election and any Americans, including members of the Trump campaign.

Mueller’s investigation, though, has led to indictments of six of Trump’s advisers, along with 26 Russian nationals, including some on charges of hacking. Indictments against 12 of the Russians were tied to malware that infected the servers of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election campaign. The compromised servers enabled the theft of thousands of emails that were subsequently published by WikiLeaks.

No new indictments are expected, according to CBS News. And long-running Justice Department policy means that it’s unlikely that a sitting president can be indicted.

The president wasted no time responding to Barr’s initial summary on March 24. He tweeted: “No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION.” He has repeated that statement multiple times since then. The mueller report book, the mueller report book barnes and noble.

“Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated & totally untrue.”—President Donald J. Trump
“If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the fact that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment. … While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”—The Mueller Report.
